  1. Worth Every Penny!

    Posted by D.Lucas on 5th Mar 2018

I went back and forth with this and the Performance pack and I'm glad I choice this one. It does however stiffen the ride but I prefer it this way. Cornering at high speeds is nothing. I feel very safe and comfortable now with this kit installed. Plus the 1 inch drop makes it look great. Only one thing I would like to mention that I didn't see anyone say yet, is that because of the 1 inch drop, I needed Caster Camber plates to make the alignment spec on the front right. It wasn't really a big deal, like the left side was 1.4 (Green) and the right side was 1.5 (Red), so 0.1 made it go from green to red. All in all still worth it and I'm loving how it handles now.

  2. A Big Change

Posted by Nate on 25th Feb 2018

It took me a weekend of long days to install this kit. I did it in my garage using jack stands and air tools. The front was A LOT easier to do than the rear end. I would recommend disregarding Ford's instructions about using a ball joint press for the rear bushings. I didn't have the strength or leverage to use it while the knuckles were on the car. So I took the knuckles off and had a machine shop press out the old bushings and press in the new ones. Totally worth the hour of my time and $50.
I would also recommend viewing the install video from CJ Pony Parts. There are a lot of good hints in there. Big one: you don't have to take the rear lower control arms off. Just drop (while supporting it with a spare jack) the rear subframe instead. The springs will pop right out and back in.

I also wished that Ford Racing Parts by Don Wood would list on their site that the kit they sale comes with all the required hardware. I didn't see it listed, so I went out and bought all the new bolts required for the kit. It would have been nice to avoid that extra expense.

After completing everything, the car definitely looks meaner and more aggressive. It is definitely lower, but not so much that it looks stupid. You will have to pay more attention to where your front end is though, to avoid hitting the splitter.

As for the ride, it is not as bouncy as the Performance Pack equipped Mustang, but it is definitely harsher. But...handling has improved a lot. The car feels much more lively and settled. I'm not sure how it will do at the track. I'm headed to Laguna Seca in a few weeks, so if I am able to update this review, I will state how the kit performed on the track.

  3. Night and day upgrade

Posted by Fred on 24th Mar 2017

Installed on a 2015 Mustang GT Premium. The car is 100% more fun to drive. A lot more confident around corners. Nearly 0 body roll. The rear bushing is a real pain to remove. The rest of the install was very easy. Done over a weekend in my garage on jack stands. Absolutely recommend it.

  4. 2015 Mustang upgrade handling package:

Posted by Dave Williamson on 20th Feb 2017

This was a straight forward install and all went quite well. The only drawback in the toe link ends. Special tools required to remove bushing/bearing. Probably not a requirement for a new Mustang.

  5. SS ready

Posted by pete on 4th Dec 2015

After lackluster motor trend review of GT to the new SS decided to have Ford dealership install this very track firm matched suspension that exceeds Ford's current performance package. Will be installed soon can't wait. I bet this will be standard equipment on 2017 GT performance package as the bar's been raised thanks to GM.

  6. Must have for the mustang.

Posted by Patrick on 15th Nov 2015

I have a 2015 mustang gt with the performance pack. The stock suspension felt floaty. This trackpack made the car more stable and planted at highway speeds. I can hit the onramp at much higher speeds. I just have more confidence in the car now. The ride is still soft and not harsh at all. This should be on the top 5 modification for this car.
